The Arab League Park (Parc Ligue arabe) is a significant 30-acre urban green space located in central Casablanca, situated between Hassan II Boulevard and Roudani Boulevard. Designed by French architect Albert Laprade in 1913 under the supervision of Henri Prost, the park was originally named Parc Lyautey in honor of Resident-general Hubert Lyautey. The site features historical elements, including arches relocated from the old Portuguese Prison of Anfa to decorate the grounds. Historically, the area also housed the amusement park Parc Yasmina on Moulay Youssef Boulevard during the 1950s.

Despite its reputation as a lush green oasis with walking paths and a peaceful atmosphere, the park has been officially closed to the public since renovations began in March 2016. These extensive renovations, estimated to cost 100 million Moroccan dirhams, were initially expected to conclude by September 2018. As of the latest available information, the park remains closed with no confirmed reopening date. Therefore, visitors cannot currently access the interior for relaxation, exercise, or sightseeing.

For travelers interested in Casablanca’s green spaces, this closure is a significant logistical consideration. While the exterior and surrounding streets are visible, the internal experience of the park’s historical and natural features is unavailable. It is recommended that visitors check with local tourism offices or official city websites for the most current status regarding the park’s reopening. Until then, the Arab League Park serves as a historical landmark visible from the outside, representing a significant chapter in Casablanca’s urban development and colonial heritage.
