Bouregreg Marina
Modern marina on Salé's Bouregreg River
Bouregreg Marina is a modern recreational facility located at the mouth of the Bouregreg River on the shores of Salé, Morocco. Operational since March 2008, it is sheltered from Atlantic waves and situated near historical sites such as the Hassan Tower esplanade and the Chellah necropolis. The marina currently accommodates up to 240 boats, ranging from 6 to 30 meters in length, with a draft of 2 to 4 meters. It covers 4.2 hectares for the pool and 4 hectares for medians.
Managed by the Bouregreg Marina Company, the facility aims to become a key destination for sailors traveling to West Africa, the Caribbean, and North America. Future plans include expanding the basin to add 100 additional rings and completing the Bab Al Bahr real estate project, which will introduce restaurants, entertainment, residential, and hotel facilities.
For visitors, the marina offers a modern and elegant space where relaxation, leisure, and lifestyle come together. Lined with landscaped promenades, cafés, and restaurants overlooking the water, it provides an ideal setting for a stroll along the river. The location offers striking views of the iconic silhouettes of both Rabat and Salé, creating a unique visual experience. While specific opening hours and admission fees are not detailed, the promenades and public areas are accessible to all. The marina serves as a bridge between the historical heritage of the region and modern maritime culture, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling city centers. It is an essential stop for those interested in the development of Salé as a modern urban hub.
